RhoType Keyboard — Privacy Policy

RhoType Keyboard (package: ai.rho1.rhotype) is built by Rho1.AI. This policy explains how RhoType handles your data. The short version: it doesn't collect any.

No Data Collection

RhoType does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All typing input, word predictions, and touch data are processed entirely on your device. Nothing ever leaves your phone.

Zero Permissions

RhoType requests zero permissions — no internet access, no camera, no location, no contacts, no storage. The app cannot communicate with any server because it has no network permission.

No Analytics or Tracking

RhoType includes no analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or tracking of any kind. There are no third-party SDKs that collect data. The TensorFlow Lite model used for word prediction runs entirely on-device.

On-Device Data

RhoType stores two types of data locally on your device to improve your typing experience:

Word frequency data — used for personalized predictions. Stored in a local on-device database and never transmitted.
Adaptive touch models — used to improve typing accuracy by learning your tap patterns. Stored locally and never shared.

This data is only accessible to the app on your device. It is removed if you uninstall RhoType.

No Cookies, No Advertising IDs

RhoType does not use cookies, advertising IDs, device identifiers, or any other form of tracking technology. The app works fully offline with no network connectivity required.

No Data Sharing

No data is shared with third parties — because there is no data to share. RhoType does not transmit anything off your device.

Children's Privacy

RhoType does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since the app collects no data at all, it is safe for users of all ages.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, the changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Since RhoType has no network access, we cannot notify you of changes in-app — please check this page periodically.
