RhoType Keyboard — Support

Everything you need to get started with RhoType and get the most out of flick-to-type.

Getting Started

  1. Install RhoType from the Google Play Store
  2. Open the RhoType app
  3. Tap "Enable RhoType Keyboard" — this opens Android Settings where you toggle RhoType on
  4. Tap "Select RhoType Keyboard" — this opens the keyboard picker where you choose RhoType
  5. Open any app and start typing

How Flick-to-Type Works

  • As you type, word predictions appear above the keys
  • Flick upward on any key to insert the predicted word
  • The more you type, the better predictions get — RhoType learns your vocabulary on-device

Troubleshooting

"Keyboard doesn't appear"

Make sure you've both enabled and selected RhoType in Settings. Open the RhoType app and follow both setup steps — enabling the keyboard and selecting it are two separate actions.

"Predictions aren't showing"

Type at least 2 characters for predictions to appear. Predictions improve with use as RhoType learns your vocabulary.

"Keys feel unresponsive"

RhoType uses adaptive touch targets — it learns your typing patterns over time. Give it a few days of regular use and accuracy will improve noticeably.

"App crashes"

Try uninstalling and reinstalling from the Play Store. If the issue persists, contact us with your device model and Android version.

Q: Does RhoType collect my typing data?

No. Everything runs on your device. No data is ever transmitted. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Q: Does RhoType need internet?

No. It works fully offline. RhoType doesn't even have internet permission.

Q: Can I customize the theme?

Currently RhoType uses a dark theme. More themes are coming in future updates.

Q: What languages are supported?

English. More languages are planned for future releases.
