Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your account and study data for PMP Prep, published by Rho1 Inc. It applies to PMP Prep on Android, on iOS, and the web app at pmp.rho1.ai — they are one account and one set of data.
How to request deletion
There are two ways. Either one deletes the same data.
1. In the app
- Open Settings.
- In the Account section, choose Delete account.
- Confirm, and type DELETE when prompted.
You are signed out immediately and your data stops being accessible from every device straight away.
2. By email, without the app
If you have uninstalled the app, cannot sign in, or would rather not use the in-app control, email privacy@rho1.ai from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. You can also write to support@rho1.ai.
We action requests on the same schedule as the in-app control, and we will confirm when it is done.
If you never created an account
You can use PMP Prep without signing in. If you never signed in, there is no account to delete and none of your study progress ever left your device — it is stored on the device only. Deleting the app removes it.
The one thing our servers hold for a device that never signed in is a registration record: a random device identifier, the platform, and when it was last active. It is purged automatically after 730 days of inactivity, and you can email us to have it removed sooner.
What happens, and when
Deletion is not instant, and that is deliberate — it is what lets you undo a mistake.
- Immediately. Your account is marked for deletion and becomes inaccessible from every device, including any device still signed in.
- For 30 days. Your data still exists but nothing can read it. If you sign in again with the same account inside those 30 days, everything is restored exactly as it was.
- After 30 days. A daily job permanently erases your data. This cannot be undone.
Our database provider keeps automatic point-in-time recovery copies for up to a further 30 days, which expire on their own. We do not keep separate backups of our own. So your data is fully gone within at most 60 days of your request.
What is deleted
Permanently erased when deletion completes:

What is kept, and for how long
One thing survives account deletion, and it is not about you personally:

We keep these because they are the audit trail for payments the stores processed, and they have to reconcile independently of any one account.
Nothing else is kept. Every other record described above is erased.
Before you delete: export your data
You can download everything we hold about you first, as a JSON file: Settings → Export my data, on Android, iOS, and the web. Deletion is permanent after the 30-day window, so export first if you want a copy.
