Terms

Rho1 Inc. — Last updated: 2026-08-27

These terms cover the Rho1 Prep apps — PMP Prep on iOS, on Android, and the web app at pmp.rho1.ai. Our free flashcard apps have no accounts and no subscription; nothing about billing below applies to them.

What the service is

Study tools for professional certification exams: flashcards, quizzes, timed practice, mock exams and progress tracking.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by any certification body, including the Project Management Institute. PMP is a registered mark of its owner. We prepare you for an exam; we do not administer it, and nothing here is a promise that you will pass it.

Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google, depending on the app and platform. You are responsible for keeping whichever account you signed in with secure — it is the key to your Rho1 account. You need to be at least 18 years old to use these apps. They are built for people preparing for professional certification exams.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, on any platform. How to delete your account explains what is removed and when.

Free and paid features

Flashcards and the diagnostic quiz are free. Practice quizzes, timed tests, full mock exams and the insights dashboard require an active subscription.

A subscription is attached to your account, not to a device or a store — so it unlocks paid features on every platform where you sign in with the same account.

Subscriptions are not yet available to buy on Android. If you already subscribe through the App Store, signing in on Android with the same account unlocks your paid features there.

Billing, cancelling and refunds

Subscriptions are sold and billed through the store you subscribe on. That store — not Rho1 — is the merchant of record, charges your payment method, and renews the subscription automatically until you cancel. We receive a transaction identifier and whether the subscription is active. We never see your card or payment details.

Cancelling

If you subscribed on iOS, manage or cancel through your Apple ID: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge.

If you subscribed on Google Play, manage or cancel there: open the Google Play app → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or visit play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions signed in with the Google Account you subscribed with. Google's cancellation timing is its own and is not necessarily Apple's 24 hours, so cancel in good time before the period ends.

Either way, you keep paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by the store that processed your purchase, not by us. We cannot issue them, and the two processes genuinely differ.

  • App Store purchases — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple reviews each request individually; there is no guaranteed refund window.
  • Google Play purchases — Google Play refunds a subscription automatically if you cancel within a short window of being charged. Outside that window, request one through the Google Play app → Account → Order history → Report a problem, and Google reviews it individually. The length of the automatic window is Google's own published policy and can change, so check it there rather than relying on a figure here.

If a store declines and you think the outcome is wrong, write to support@rho1.ai. We can sometimes help another way — extending your subscription, for instance — but we cannot return money to your payment method on either store.

Price changes

If we change a subscription price, the new price applies to your next renewal, never the current one. What happens if you do nothing depends on the store, and the two are opposites:

  • App Store — Apple notifies you, and your subscription renews at the new price unless you cancel first.
  • Google Play — Google requires your explicit consent to an increase. If you do not consent, the subscription is cancelled rather than renewed at the new price.

Acceptable use

The question banks, explanations and other study content are ours. Use them to study. Do not redistribute, resell, scrape or republish them, and do not share your account so others can use a subscription they have not bought.

Changes and ending the service

We may change these terms; if we do, we will update this page and the date at the top. We may suspend an account that is being used in breach of the acceptable-use section above.

Privacy

What we collect and why is set out at rho1.ai/privacy.
